Having flown in from Kilimanjaro Airport , we meet you on day one at Kogatende Airstrip (in the north western Serengeti). The airstrip lies by the Mara river, so your first game drive begins the moment you step from the plane! After your short drive from the airstrip to the camp, a leisurely lunch is followed by time acclimatising. You might swim in the pool, or simply stare blissfully into the distance. Then a late afternoon drive gives you the chance to explore the local wildlife, enjoy a drink against the setting sun, before heading for dinner.

After breakfast on your second day you set out for a full day’s game drive, including a sumptuous buffet lunch within the Serengeti National Park. All our guests love having their driver radio ahead, so that a hot tub and glass of something special awaits their return to camp. It’s the ideal way to wind down before dinner.

On day three, the earlier you rise, the more you will see along the Mara river. After a Bush breakfast you return to camp at midday, to catch up on your beauty sleep or alternatively go for a Balloon safari (payable extra) prebooking is essential. Having sailed over the Bush and its herds, you wind down over champagne style bush breakfast in the Serengeti and later transfer to the camp with game drive enroute. In the afternoon, you can take life easy, enjoying the facilities at Serengeti Bushtops, lounging in your tent, heading for a swim before an evening game drive. As always, dinner provides a sumptuous counterpoint to the wildness of the days experiences.

Day four sees you head to Kogatende after breakfast, spotting game en route. After a short flight to Seronera,we meet you with drinks, snacks and a warm welcome. Your drive to the camp is a mini game drive in itself, taking you through the Bush en route to Roving Bushtops. Between midday and 4pm you familiarise yourself with your new surroundings, unpack and get some rest.Then we take you out for an evening game drive around Maasai Kopjes. Heading into the bush for an evening game drive has a level of excitement and character all its own, as predators begin their nightly search for prey.As the day cools and the sky is streaked by red, gold and orange hues, you may be surprised by the roar of a lion, a galloping giraffe, or the high pitched giggling of hyenas fighting over a kill.At a suitable vantage point, your guide will pause, allowing you to enjoy a sundowner in blissful comfort.

This is your full-on safari experience, with a full day’s game drive around Moru kopjes to Kusini, or perhaps towards the Namiri plain or Naabi hills. It all depends on where the game is gathering – and we track their progress hour by hour.Full day safaris are the best way to see the range of what our magnificent park has to offer. Each excursion departs at around 8am, with your 4×4 fully equipped to cross the Serengeti in search of game.The early mornings are relatively cool, but by midday it can become very hot indeed and sun-block lotion and hats are advised.Lunch is served under the shade of an Acacia tree as you take a break from scanning the horizons, and realise that all is well with the world.Our team of rangers and Kuria spotters apply their wildlife knowledge, tracking abilities and incredible eyesight to reveal the hidden wonders of the Serengeti: even we don’t always know how they do it!A full day on safari gives you every chance of unforgettable moments, ranging from a kill to an amorous liaison, spotting the big five or encountering a fascinating cast of lesser-known creatures.

All good things must end, so your sixth day begins with an 8am departure back to the Seronera Airstrip for your flight to Zanzibar.However, the drive takes you back through the Bush, giving you one last chance to see wildlife, captured as memories or on film forever.Meet and greet upon arrival and transfer to Baraza Resort & Spa in Garden View Villa for Overnight on All Inclusive Basis.

On day seven there will be a complimentary privately guided city and spice tour to Stone town.
