Trip Summary

Dive deep into the history of Johannesburg and South Africa. Starting at the world-famous township of Soweto, visitors will be treated to a tour through this historic area, where many of the events that lead to the liberation of South Africa took place. Guests will get to visit the beautiful Orlando Towers, Soweto’s most iconic landmark and the Hector Pieterson memorial, built in honor of the students and young people who fought to liberate South Africa. We then move on to Vilakazi Street, the only street in the world that was home to two Nobel Peace Prize winners, Nelson Mandela and Desmond Tutu.
