You'll be met at Cape Town International airport and transferred to More Quarters, an apartment hotel with concierge services in the Gardens district of Cape Town.
On your second day your car rental will be delivered to the hotel. You have the rest of your days to independently explore Cape Town and environs: Table Mountain, V&A Waterfront, Camps Bay, Clifton's beaches, Kirstenbosch Gardens, Kloof and Long Streets, Robben Island, Bo-Kaap, Boulders Beach, the Cape of Good Hope and Chapman's Peak. Overnight at More Quarters.

Drive (approx. 2hrs) along the Southern Whale Coast to the Hermanus area and Grootbos, a nature lodge in a 2,500-hectare private reserve. Spend 2 days exploring the reserve on guided walks, horseback tours and birding expeditions, and head to Hermanus for land-based whale watching and beach picnics at Walker Bay. Overnight at Grootbos.
Drive (approx. 5 hrs) along the Garden Route to Plettenberg Bay and Hog Hollow, a country lodge with extraordinary views over the valley and Tsitsikamma Mountains. Spend 2 days visiting Monkeyland, Birds of Eden and the Elephant Sanctuary (all a walk away), or nearby beaches and tree-top canopy tours. Overnight at Hog Hollow.
Drive (approx. 4.5 hrs) to malaria-free Addo Elephant National Park and RiverBend Lodge, a charming homestead hotel. Spend 3 days doing game drives and relaxing. Parents can take offspring on game drives, or leave them with babysitters to have cooking lessons, track small animals, or play in the sandpit. Overnight at RiverBend Lodge.
