The Harare International Airport is 12 km to the southeast of the city in Harare South on Airport Road. It is the major hub for international flights flying in and out of the country. There are two terminal buildings at the airport, the original of which houses the domestic terminal. It is the only airport in Zimbabwe that can handle large aircraft.

Airline services on site include banks, ATMs, currency change bureau, post office, restaurants and duty-free shops. International arrivals can hire cars and taxis into the city or elsewhere.

Air Zimbabwe is the country's only domestic airline that has 2 daily flights to Victoria Falls at 0900 and 1300. It returns at 1030 and 1530 to Harare.

It operates 2 daily flights to Bulawayo at 0900 and 1900 and back at 0700 and 1715.

Air Zimbabwe flies to Lusaka, Lilongwe and Johannesburg while Air Malawi to Blantyre and Lilongwe and Air Botswana to Gaborone.

Internationally, Air Zimbabwe flies to London. Other connections are via Johannesburg.
