Mapungubwe Vhembe National Park not only offers excellent game-viewing and the chance to see Africa’s Big Five, but also boasts a variety of archaeological sites and San art sites. Surrounding all of this are ancient baobab trees and climbing figs, among many other big trees and interesting rock formations. It is home to the Mapungubwe Archaeological Site and visitors can go on guided tours to the park’s archaeological and cultural hotspots. Other activities on offer include the Treetop walk, numerous game and bird hides, self-guided trails, eco-routes, birding trips, night drives and guided trips to Limited Motorized Zones.
