Guests can immerse themselves in a range of adventure activities in the surrounding area, or unwind with a 3000-book library and an underground wine cellar. Three Tree Hill places a strong emphasis on preserving the local Zulu culture and the historical legacy of the Anglo Boer War for future generations. The lodge’s commitment to sustainability extends to sourcing eco-friendly goods, and empowering and uplifting the local community. The exterior features traditional corrugated iron cladding, while the interior is adorned with warm wood paneling, creating a nostalgic atmosphere that transports you back in time. Despite the vintage-inspired design, these cottages are equipped with modern amenities such as heated towel rails, overhead fans, airconditioners and room panel heaters to ensure your stay is as comfortable as possible. A private verandah extends from each cottage, offering a tranquil space to unwind and soak in the surrounding natural beauty.

For added flexibility, beds can be arranged as extra-length three-quarter or king-size upon request. Please note, access to the cottages is via a fairly steep pathway leading to the main lodge facilities, adding an element of adventure to your stay. Should you require an easier access, please reserve the Kiplings Cottage for your stay where all mobility adaptations have been addressed.

The children's en-suite bathroom is designed to be wheelchair-friendly for easy access. The cottage's lounge area also includes a fireplace, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere, and a kitchenette for your convenience.
