Set high above the Sand River on the site of an original 1920s homestead, Kirkman’s Kamp captures the nostalgic character of an iconic safari era. Each of the 12 guest cottages, including a family cottage comprising two interleading cottages, enjoys sweeping views across the river and surrounding bush. Antique-inspired furnishings, modern comforts and private river-facing verandas create a relaxed retreat steeped in safari heritage.

The 12 air-conditioned guests cottages at Kirkman’s Kamp are reminiscent of an old farmstead, and each faces the glorious Sand River where elephants and other wild animals roam. The cosy rooms each have an ensuite bathroom with a shower, and a verandah with magnificent views. Family options are available for children of all ages
